PAUSA INTERSTICIAL
A cut.
An interruption in space and time.
Life on pause.
It is an invitation to carefully observe those elements that occur in conjunction in the spaces between states of matter. Moments that remain in gentle suspension, taking a pause and discovering among the layers, the different levels that occur when one traverses an unknown place. It does not seek to identify the object, perhaps it rather tries to observe what happens in this transition.
Sensory navigation in a poetic realm where imagining the "limbic states" is paramount, with the sole purpose of connecting with a moment frozen in the observation of reality, and being able to look closely, not at the object, but at that state of interval in a "still-becoming."
Creating in the midst of a global quarantine year stems from the need to look at the world again, not from the matter itself, but rather from what happens when these phenomena and situations are evolving. To reexamine the world with a "paused gaze." Like wanting to immobilize the movement to contemplate how the unfolding occurs in transformation.
Separations and Integrations. Discovering that the new forms (where in their pursuit, they become blurred) have a mysterious quality: reality is "clearly unclear"; like showing what happens in a transition between states, a space of mystery that seeks to amplify with mirrors amidst "mists." A new state of matter so vibrant, necessary to look at with respect, care, and delicacy in the intimate pause. Showing the encounter between the gentle and the rugged, a confluence between the mystery that underlies processes of transformation."
